Katherine Gomez (She/Her/Ella)
Doctoral Student Trainee
Katherine Gomez (she/her/ella) is a Doctoral Student Trainee for We Rise Collective. At the heart of Katherine’s work is a deep commitment to listening with care and compassion. She understands that our stories are shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the larger systems and relationships around us. Believing that healing happens in connection, Katherine strives to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported. She is passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate trauma, identity, intimacy, and life’s many transitions. With warmth and curiosity, Katherine welcomes individuals, offering a space where growth and healing can unfold at a comfortable pace.
Katherine holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Victimology from Stockton University. She completed a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the George Washington University. Katherine now pursues her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology at William James College. Katherine has four years of experience in the mental health field. She weaves together humanistic, relational, cultural, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices to gently support clients in understanding old patterns and finding new ways forward.
Outside of the therapy room, Katherine loves to fill life with creativity and joy. She can often be found experimenting in the kitchen with new baking recipes or winding down with arts and crafts projects that let her playful side shine. Music is another big part of her world—whether she’s singing, enjoying a night of karaoke, or dancing just for fun. She also cherishes quiet moments with a good book, getting lost in new stories and ideas. These hobbies bring balance, laughter, and inspiration to her life, and she enjoys sharing that same spirit of curiosity and creativity with her clients.
Katherine is fluent in English and Spanish.
